HOW TO REGISTER: In the quantity (QTY) field, enter the number of consultation hours or days that you wish to purchase. Example: QTY of 2 equals two hours or two days. Hourly consultations are done by phone; daily consultations are done both on-site and by phone.
Academy Private Consultation Services - Terms and Conditions
I am purchasing the selected number of hours or days (at the cost of $300 member/$750 nonmember per hour or $3600 member / $7200 nonmember per day) for consultation services from the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
The Academy recognizes that the personal, financial and operational information of physicians and practices is of a sensitive nature and will not be shared with any third-party persons or payer.
I recognize that all information provided by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and its employees is based on the information deemed to be as current and reliable as reasonably possible. The Academy does not provide legal services or advice. Coding and practice management involve complicated processes, continually changing rules, and the application of judgement to factual situations. The Academy does not guarantee or warrant that either federal or commercial payers will agree with the Academy’s information or recommendations.
If applicable, any chart documentation provided by me will not have already been submitted for payment. I warrant that the scope of work requested does not involve audits currently under scrutiny by any payer or government office.
DISCLAIMER: The Academy shall not be liable to you or any other party to any extent whatsoever for errors in, or omissions from any such information provided by the Academy and its employees. Eight hours of on-site consultation ($300 per hour for each addtional hour)

One hour of follow-up via phone/email to review summary report
What types of guidance will Academy experts provide? Each private consultation is tailored towards your unique situation. For example, our experts can advise you and your team on special topics such as unique modifiers, or how to conduct internal chart audits of E/M and Eye visit codes, or help you create an efficient billing process that optimizes collections performance. You are encouraged to suggest topics for discussion and prepare a list of questions.
Is there any limitation on the type of records consultants can review? Our experts can review records which haven't been submitted for payment yet.
